Your Visit

Appointment booking

To make an appointment please contact the consulting rooms at St John’s Hospital.

Please note that as this is a specialist medical practice, a valid referral from your GP or other specialist is required prior to booking. Referrals are reviewed and triaged by Mr Callahan. There may be a wait to be seen for your first appointment, but after that, follow-up appointments are easily scheduled

It is best to wear loose fitting comfortable clothing that allows easy access for examination of the body part in question

Our practice is very aware of the value of your time and we try hard to avoid patients waiting in the office. Please ensure you arrive early or on time to help facilitate this.

Appointment cancellation

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel. This allows us to schedule other patients who might be waiting. There is no fee for cancellations.

Preparation for your consultation

If possible, please take the time to complete the relevant sections of the New Patient Registration and Foot and Ankle Patient Questionnaire, or arrive in time to complete a hard copy prior to your scheduled appointment.

What to bring to your consultation

  • Medicare and Private Health Insurance documentation (Medicare Card, Insurance Card etc).
  • Any documentation relating to WorkCover or MAIB claims.
  • A valid Referral letter from your GP or referring specialist (or ensure that a referral has been sent to us directly).
  • All x-rays, scans, pathology or test results relating to your problem.
